A landline allows you to make and received telephone calls by using a geographic telephone number.
Landlines can be a single landline that works with a telephone handset, a virtual landline that works with an app on your mobile phone or multiple landlines that work on a switchboard, PABX system or telephone system.
There are different types of landlines and we will give you an overview of the types of landlines that are available in South Africa.
Fixed landlines A fixed landline works with a physical cable. These can be single fixed landlines that work with a telephone handset or multiple fixed landlines that work on a switchboard, PABX system or telephone system. Pricing from R183.94 per month. Wireless landlines A wireless landline works over a wireless connection. These can be single wireless landlines that work with a telephone handset or multiple wireless landlines that work on a switchboard, PABX system or telephone system. A virtual landline can work virtually on your telecommunication service providers voice server. Incoming calls that are received on your virtual telephone number are then diverted to a telephone number of your choice, for example to your mobile phone number.
